Today is March 21, 2010, and we had just finished the first weekend of this years festival. Saturday was beautiful, lots of sunshine and people. Thanks to all who came out, we enjoyed having you visit. Sunday was a different story but we were still out and I want to thank the 10 people who braved the rain and got out of their cars. The weather people got this one on the button. Everything turns out for the best, with this rain and next week's 65 plus weather the daffodils should be as good or better than this weekend. For those thinking about going out during the week, I would wait until Tuesday to give the daffodils a chance to stand back up. Thanks again to everyone for their support of WYE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. A few facts for the people who have never been to the Daffodil Festival or for those like me and have forgotten. Entry into and parking for the Festival is free. The Daffodil Festival is held on a 7 acre field with over 30 different types of Daffodils that is located next to the Wye UMC for your enjoyment. Wye UMC operates a entry gate from 9:00am to 5:00pm every day to assist you. Like if you want to buy bulbs, find out where you can pick blooms, or accept donations if you care to give. Wye EHC and local craft vendors are located in the barn next to the entrance. Bar-B-Q, cobblers, soft drinks and other food items can be purchased on the weekends of the Festival Please CLICK on the Wye UMC button for more details Please join us for Easter sunrise service at the cross in the field 6:52am Easter Sunday April 4, 2010
